Mission Mangal To Enter 200 Crore Club, Become Akshay Kumar’s Highest Grosser Ever

The multi-starrer movie ‘Mission Mangal’, which released on August 15 refuses to slow down at the box office. The film has made a business of Rs. 187.20 Crore until now, and is ready to enter the 200 Crore club soon.

Mission Mangal is soon going to be Akshay’s highest grossing film ever, surpassing the lifetime collection of his movie ‘2.0’, which collected Rs. 189.55 Crore. Mission Mangal opened at Rs. 29.16 Crore, becoming his biggest opener till date.

While movie lovers thought that the film will slow down after the release of the highly awaited ‘Saaho’, starring Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor, it didn’t. Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Mission Mangal’ held it strong despite decreased screens.

The film also became Akshay Kumar's highest grossing film in Australia with a collection of Rs. 2.91 Crore, still running.

The Cape Of Good Films and Fox Star Studio production assembles an interesting cast of Vidya Balan, Sonakshi Sinha, Taapsee Pannu, Kirti Kulhari, Vidya Menen and Sharman Joshi, in pivotal roles. The film is based on the Indian Space Research Organisation’s (ISRO) maiden Mars Orbiter Mission that made Mars more accessible to explore.
