On 50th anniversary of Vijay Diwas; Ishaan Khatter pays tribute to the Army and announced the release date of his next 'Pippa'

The 50th anniversary of Vijay Diwas, when Bangladesh was liberated following the 1971 Indo-Pak war, is today, December 16. The release date for Pippa was confirmed at the event. The film will be released on December 9, 2022, and stars Ishaan Khatter, Mrunal Thakur, and Priyanshu Painyuli.

Ishaan Khatter portrays Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta, a veteran of the 45th Cavalry tank unit who fought on the eastern front with his siblings during the 1971 Indo-Pakistan War. Ishaan uploaded a poster on social media to mark the 50th anniversary of the 1971 Indo-Pak war, which resulted in Bangladesh's freedom on December 16th, 1971.

Raja Krishna directs the picture, which is supported by producers Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur. Priyanshu Painyuli and Soni Razdan both play significant parts.

Pippa aims to showcase the epic tank fight of Garibpur, which contributed to Bangladesh's freedom. Mrunal Thakur plays Ishaan’s younger sister. Ishaan's older brother will be played by Priyanshu Painyuli, and their mother will be played by Soni Razdan.

It is based on Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta's novel The Burning Chaffees. Priyanshu Painyuli and Soni Razdan star in crucial parts in the film, which is produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur. Raja Krishna Menon directed the film, which is an epic narrative of victory and family. On December 9, 2022, it will be released on the big screen.
