JP Dutta's latest war based film ‘Paltan’  hit the big screens on September 7. 'Paltan'  is based on the 1967 Nathula pass clashes along the Sikkim border that occurred after the Indo-China was of 1862. This film stars Jackie Shroff, Arjun Rampal, Gurmeet Chaudhary, Sonu Soon and Harshvardhan Rane in the lead roles.

'Paltan' is JP Dutta’s third war film after 'Border' and 'LOC Kargil'. This is reason he was invited by the Ministry of Defence to make a film on the iconic event in the history of Indian Armed Forces.

With ‘Paltan’, JP Dutta has made an attempt to showcase the audience how India got victory over China in 1967, which is not a much talked about topic though.

The families of heroes of 1967 Indo-China war have also expressed their gratitude to the filmmaker for presenting the inspiring stories of these soldiers.

Moreover, 'Paltan' is also special for JP Dutta because his daughter Nidhi is also associated with this movie as the producer.

The movie is getting positive response from all the quarters. Audience is giving positive reviews on Twitter. Some of them even called this as another 'masterpiece of JP Dutta'.

#Paltan #MovieReview

its a tribute to the unsung Saga of Indo China Stand off 1967 and hence every Indian should watch it.

But as a film it's a very bad film with bad casting, bad acting, bad direction and very bad action.

Rating - 1/5 Stars.

The film has been extensively shot in Leh.

Apart from war films, Dutta has also directed Umrao Jaan and Refugee among others.
