'Ponniyin Selvan' trailer launch: Veteran stars Rajnikanth, Kamal Hassan to come together for Mani Ratnam's epic film

'Ponniyin Selvan' trailer launch: One of the highly-anticipated Indian films 'Ponniyin Selvan: I' is all set to be released in theaters soon. The historical epic, which is based on the Chola dynasty, stars Chiyaan Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Sobhita Dhulipala, and Prakash Raj in key roles.

Helmed by Mani Ratnam, ahead of the film’s release the makers have announced to release much-awaited trailer on September 6 which will be graced by veteran actors Rajinikanth and Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan.

The trailer of the film will be unveiled on September 6 in Chennai's Nehru Indoor Stadium. Superstar Rajinikanth and Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan will be the event's chief guests. The information about the same was confirmed by an official video released by the makers.

The historical drama Ponniyin Selvan is based on Kalki Krishnamurthy's well-known Tamil literary novel with the same title. The lead actors in the movie are Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Chiyaan Vikram, Trisha, Karthi, and Jayam Ravi. The film includes a stellar cast namely Prakash Raj, Sobhita Dhulipala, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Prabhu, Sarathkumar, and R. Parthiban.

The historical drama, which will be released on September 30 this year, is bankrolled by Mani Ratnam and Allirajah Subaskaranunder under the banner of Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions.
