Priyanka Chopra meets US Vice President Kamala Harris; netizens say, 'Indian daughters making India proud'
Priyanka Chopra and US Vice President Kamala Harris news: Bollywood actor Priyanka Chopra recently met US Vice President Kamala Harris. PeeCee referred to herself and VP Kamala Harris as 'Daughters of India'.
In her opening remarks, Priyanka Chopra said that the women in India have held the highest elected offices. From the first-twice elected Prime Minister Indira Gandhi to the current President of India Droupadi Murmu, the Indian daughters have been making the nation proud.

She further said that she was baffled that the US is the great land of opportunity and revolution. However, the final glass ceiling has not been shattered yet.

Referring to Kamala Harris, she said, "You're a proud American-born daughter of an Indian mom, I am an Indian born of two physicians, as parents and a recent immigrant to this country who totally still believes in the wholehearted you know, American dream."

Meanwhile, US Vice President Kamala Harris, while talking to Priyanka Chopra at the Democratic National Committee (DMC) Women's Leadership Forum in Washington DC, talked about several issues that include reproductive rights, gun violence, pay disparity, and equal opportunities.
