Proud Moment For India: Punjab’s Harvinder Singh Wins First Ever Gold Medal In Para Archery
Punjab’s Harvinder Singh became the first Indian para archer to win a gold medal in men’s individual open recurve W2/St event at the ongoing Asian Para Games in Jakarta. This is 7th gold medal for India in the games.
Harvinder Singh dedicated his yellow metal to his mother who passed away one month before the start of the tournament.

On being asked about his idol in this sport, Harvinder replied: “Atanu Das is my role model and I want to follow his footsteps to achieve more success in this game in future.”
Cricketer Harbhajan Singh took to his Twitter handle to congratulate Harvinder Singh. Harvinder Singh is currently pursuing PhD from Punjabi University in Patiala.
