PTC PUNJABI WEEKLY REVIEW: ALONG WITH MAKING YOU GUFFAW IN LAUGHTER, BHALWAN SINGH WILL ALSO IGNITE YOUR PATRIOTISM

One aspect of Ranjit Bawa starrer Bhalwan Singh that stands out distinctively is the fact that it manages to ignite a sense of patriotism in spite of its comic theme. A simple young man who desperately wants to prove himself in the eyes of his fellow villagers, his mother, his love interest and how he carries out the plan of kidnapping a British Architect will make you sympathise with the protagonist while making you guffaw in laughter.

Bhalwan Singh, the story of a common man who wants to prove his manhood by locking horns with the British empire sounds quite intense of a story-line. But for a timid man who’s belittled by everyone in the village, it must be quite a task and tha's what Bhalwan Singh is all about.

Ranjit Bawa has done a fabulous job for carrying out such a challenging role. As mentioned above, the audience would feel for his feeble countenance. The second half of the film is a real treat as director Param Shiv brings a gripping pace to the story-line. Karamjit Anmol, Navpreet Banga (Who’s also a Yoga expert and YouTube personality) have done complete justice to their roles that brings certain depth to the story-line.

Watch ‘Bhalwan Singh’ for Ranjit Bawa’s innocence and rib tickling antics. After all, we all have a Bhalwan hiiden in some corner inside us that needs a push.
