Rapper and music-composer Badshah, known for songs like ‘Saturday Saturday’, ‘Kar gayi chull’, ‘Abhi toh party shuru hui hai’ and ‘DJ waley babu’ among others, will soon be turning actor. Badshah will make his debut on the big screen opposite Sonakshi Sinha.
According to the media reports, rapper will be turning actor in debutant director Shilpi Dasgupta’s yet untitled project.
"This year I have undertaken many firsts, including my debut as a producer and now as an actor. Bhushanji and Mrigh (Bhushan Kumar, Mrighdeep Lamba, producers) convinced me that the role was perfect for me. It’s a unique film and it brings a smile to my face. Getting to work with Sonakshi was like a bonus as she is a dear friend," Badshah told a leading daily.

Born in Delhi, Badshah started his career in 2006 alongside Yo Yo Honey Singh in his group band Mafia Mundeer.
Earlier in 2018, Badshah has come out with his debut album titled O.N.E. (Original Never Ends). It first track titled “Heartless” has fetched over 60 million views on YouTube so far.
Besides, he has also produced Punjabi films ‘Ardaas’ and ‘Do Dooni Panj’.
