Republic Day Special: Meet Abhishek Gautam Who Tattooed 560 Kargil Martyrs Name On His Body

As India is gearing up to celebrate its 70th Republic Day on January 26, here we tell you about the story of a man Abhishek Gautam from Hapur, Uttar Pradesh who has over 590 tattoos on his back that includes 560 names of Indian Army martyrs.

31-year-old Abhishek Gautam has all the names tattooed on his back. Apart from the martyrs he has tattoos of freedom fighters including Mahatma Gandhi, Bhagat Singh, Subhash Chandra Bose among others.

This guy, Abhishek Gautam, has tattooed the names of Kargil War heroes on his back.

While talking to Mail Today, Abhishek Gautam revealed why he decided to get inked.

"Last year I visited Leh Ladak. The Indian Army saved one of my friends and throughout our journey we felt safe as the soldiers were always there. Since then I thought that I should do something to pay tribute to them. Then I decided to get inked," Abhishek Gautam told Mail Today.

Besides, Gautam described his move to get inked as a tribute to Indian Army who are always there to protect us.

Meanwhile, South Africa’s President Cyril Ramaphosa will attend India’s 70th Republic Day Parade as the Chief Guest.

It was on January 26, 1950 that the largest constitution of the world was enforced in India. Since then, India celebrates 26 January as the Republic Day.
