Salman Khan Adopts Flood Affected Village In Kolhapur, Maharashtra

Bollywood's bhai Salman Khan, who is actively involved in various social causes, has now adopted a flood-affected village in  Kolhapur district of Maharashtra.

In 2019, several of the villages in Sangli, Satara and Kolhapur of Mahrashtra were badly damaged due to heavy rains, with hundreds of families losing their houses and everything. The Western region of the state was flooded with rain water as people lose their everything. Now, the 'Dabangg' actor has decided to adopt Khidrapur village which falls under the Kolhapur district.

The Bollywood star has taken responsibility of the welfare of the villagers along with Elan foundation. They will be taking care of providing shelter for the villagers. The construction of the houses will be done with the help of the state government and other investors.

Earlier, Salman had also donated after floods in Jammu and Kashmir. In 2018, he had donated Rs 2 crore for cancer patients. Salman has been providing financial help to various social causes through his foundation 'Being Human'.
