Bollywood actress Lara Dutta was crowned Miss Universe in the year 2000 as she is celebrating 20 years of her win with some throwback pictures on her social media platform.
Lara Dutta took to her Instagram handle to share some unseen pictures of her journey as she remembers the day, May 12, 2000. She shares a series of pictures with a heartfelt note: “20 years to the day!! 12 th May 2000, Nicosia, Cyprus. What a wonderful gift to receive from the universe! One I’m eternally grateful for ??. ”
The Miss Universe pageant was held in Nicosia, Cyprus in the year 2000. The first image in the post shows Lara in a simple white one-shoulder figure-hugging dress with which she opted to wear no jewellery.
