Shabana Azmi Criticizes Attacks On Doctors Combating Coronavirus

Veteran actress Shabani Azmi is very upset on the ongoing issue of the nation. On Friday, April 17, she condemned the attacks on doctors and medical practitioners. She is urging the nation through social media to stop the hatred and salute the heroes, who are saving the lives.

She took to her Twitter handle to write: “The scourge of Covid-19 we will overcome sooner or later. What is appalling is that doctors and nurses are being attacked by the very people they are trying to save #STOPTHISNOW.”

While the nation battles with coronavirus, many cases of doctors and other medical practitioners are being attacked by angry family members of patients from different parts of the country.

The actress also wrote about healthcare services, saying that everyone should have access to life – saving tools.

In a tweet Azmi mentioned, "Lockdowns disrupt access to routine health care services like immunization, leaving children vulnerable to preventable diseases. We must ensure that everyone has access to these life-saving tools. Every life that can be saved must be saved! #Together4Health"

Meanwhile, the actress has also practised self-quarantine after she returned from Budapest around March 15.
