Sidhu Moose Wala murder case: Shooter Deepak Mundi 'arrested' from Bengal-Nepal border
Sidhu Moose Wala murder case news: In a major development in the murder case of late singer Sidhu Moose Wala, the chief shooter Deepak alias Mundi, has been arrested from the Bengal-Nepal border on Saturday, said the Punjab Police.
Punjab's Director General of Police, Gaurav Yadav, called the arrest a major breakthrough in Sidhu Moose Wala's murder case. He said it was a result of a joint operation by Punjab Police with central agencies and the Delhi Police.

Apart from Deepak, two of his associates, named Kapil Pandit and Rajinder, have also been arrested, the DGP said.
“Deepak, Kapil Pandit, and Rajinder were arrested today by the AGTF team at the WB-Nepal border in the culmination of an intelligence-based operation,” the DGP tweeted.

According to the Punjab DGP, Deepak was the shooter in the Bolero module, while Pandit and Rajinder gave logistical support to the killers, including weapons and hideouts.
It may be recalled that Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead in the Jawaharke village of Punjab's Mansa district on May 29. The incident took place after the singer's security cover was curtailed by the Punjab Police among 424 others.

Soon after Sidhu Moose Wala's death news surfaced on the Internet, the Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar had claimed responsibility for the murder and since then the Punjab Police has been looking for him in connection with the case.
Notably, Goldy Brar is an aide of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, who is in the custody of Punjab Police.
