In the meanwhile, Sidhu Moose Wala's '295' song was recently played at the pre-closing ceremony of the Commonwealth Games 2022, where India finished fourth on the medal tally.

This is not the first time that 'Dil Da Ni Mada' singer was recognised in the Commonwealth Games 2022.

Earlier, Punjab’s Lovepreet Singh, who won bronze medal in weightlifting at Commonwealth Games, paid ‘tribute’ to Sidhu by celebrating the triumph with Moose Wala's signature 'thaapi'.

Likewise, Pakistan’s Nooh Dastgir Butt and India’s Gurdeep Singh, divided by borders, celebrated their CWG 2022 victory with Sidhu Moose Wala’s songs.

It was shocking news for the entire nation when Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead in broad daylight in Punjab's Mansa district on May 29. The singer was travelling with two of his friends when some assailants stopped his car and ambushed him.

The singer had suffered as many as 24 bullet injuries while one of the bullets was recovered from his skull. His fans and admirers across the world have been seeking justice for Sidhu Moose Wala.
