Sonali Bendre became an inspiration to people around the globe after winning her battle against cancer. The actress was diagnosed with metastatic cancer in 2018 and came out as a winner.

While the world celebrated cancer day on February 4, Sonali attended an event to spread awareness on the disease. Emraan Hashmi's son Ayaan, who was detected with a rare case of kidney cancer in 2014 at the age of three, was also present at the event. Ayaan was declared cancer-free in January, 2019.

Ayaan gave a speech at the event. Overwhelmed with his words, Sonali shared a picture with him on Instagram and wrote, "4th Feb 2020- An evening filled with hope, love, and conversations! I met my youngest motivator, Ayaan Hashmi, who is just 10 years old and is truly a canvas of positivity! The way he spoke about his journey was far beyond his age! You’ve got a warrior @therealemraan Give my love to Ayaan! @priyadutt kudos to you for being a pillar of strength to all those affected by the big C! It’s truly commendable to see the work you’re doing with @nargisduttfoundation and thank you for making me a part of this #WorldCancerDay."

Meanwhile, in the video, the 10 years old is saying, "You don't have to lose hope because cancer can be treated. I know I am just 10 years old but I may have gone through a lot of experience."
