The Accidental Prime Minister: Divya Dutta Tweets Her Movie Review

Anupam Kher and Akshaye Khanna starrer ‘The Accidental Prime Minister’ is set to hit the big screens on January 11. The film is based on a book on former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, written by Sanjay Baru, who served as the media advisor of Manmohan Singh from 2004 to 2008.

Before the release, the makers of the film held a special screening for their industry friends. Well-known Punjabi actress Divya Dutta too watched the movie and she shared her review on her official Twitter handle.

In her post, Divya termed Anupam Kher’s acting as toughest role he has ever played in is entire filmy career. Besides, she also called Akshaye Khanna’s performance as brilliant till date.

Besides Divya, renowned filmmaker Shekhar Kapur also shared his review on Twitter. He wrote: “Two very strong performances make #AccidentalPrimeMinister a must see film. Akshaye Khanna and Anupam Kher. Anupam creates Manmohan Singh as a man who seems weak but carries great strength inside. Yet ultimately finds that principles and politics do not go together @AnupamPKher.”

In the film, Anupam Kher portrays the character of India’s ex-PM Manmohan Singh in the film while Akshaye Khanna is playing the role of author Sanjay Baru.

The film is directed by debutant Vijay Ratnakar Gutte.
