The drought situation in Maharashtra has worsened over the years, as the state reels from water scarcity. Almost half of the state has been declared drought hit over the years. While people are extending their help to the drought hit area, Khalsa Aid is one such Sikh community that is in the region to help the people.

Khalsa Aid’s team has reached the place and is providing water to those affected in the region. The state is severely affected by the shortage of water, and there is no relief for the people in this scorching heat. 60000 litres of water is distributed daily to the affected villages.

Besides, the team was in Puri earlier, helping the people affected badly due to cyclone Fani. The volunteers were carrying out assessment to help the victims and set up relief operations.

Earlier, Khalsa Aid became the 4th emergency service in India owing to their selfless help around the world. The team sets up Langar and serves the people of the affected area whenever there is a disaster or need.
