Trailer Of Deepika Padukone Starrer ‘Chhapaak’ To Release On December 10. Know Why

Deepika Padukone’s upcoming film ‘Chhapaak’ has been in news for all the right reasons since a very long time. The film, which is a biographical drama, is based on the life of an acid attack survivor. It was recently revealed that the trailer of ‘Chhapaak’ will release on December 10, which is also celebrated as World Human Rights Day.

Talking about the trailer release date of the film, the director of the film, Meghna Gulzar reportedly said that it is uncanny that the trailer is being released on World Human Rights Day.

She also shared her thoughts on the significance of the date and said, “It is actually a nice coincidence that our trailer is getting launched on the 10th of December, which also happens to be - Human Rights Day. Chhapaak is a story of acid violence. I really couldn't have asked for better synchronicity for the release date of our film.”

Meanwhile, Deepika Padukone took down to her Instagram handle to announce the trailer release date of the film. She captioned the mini teaser as: “A moment is all it took... Trailer out tomorrow.Keep watching this space... #Chhapaak”

Also starring Vikrant Massey in a key role, ‘Chhapaak’ is based on the life of acid attack survivor Laxmi Aggarwal. The movie also marks Deepika's debut as a producer and is slated to hit the screens on January 10, 2020.
