Veteran Pakistani Actress Zaheen Tahira Dies At 79, Twitter Flooded With Tributes

Legendary Pakistani actor Zaheen Tahira, who starred in over 700 drama serials in lead and supporting roles, has passed away in Karachi on Tuesday. She was 79.

According to The Express Tribune, the actor was admitted to a city-based hospital last month due to cardiac issues. She was put on a ventilator and was later shifted to the critical care unit (CCU).

Just 3 days after getting back from surgery, she was recovering. And it was her birthday ? sorry to say I got the call that my moms Khala had another heart attack and didn’t make it

The actor's grandson Danial Shahzad Khan also shared the news on Facebook. "My dado (grandmother) Zaheen Tahira has passed away," Khan wrote.

Soon after the news of Zaheen Tahira’s demise broke, social media site Twitter got flooded with tributes and condolence messages.
