Why #KuchKuchHotaHai Is Trending On Twitter?

Karan Johar's directorial debut “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai” has completed 20 years today. The film stars Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Rani Mukerji. This film gave us the most loved onscreen couple – Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol.

The film is popularly known for teaching friendship goals to millennials and for some of its dialogues like “pyaar dosti hai” and “kuch kuch hota hai Rahul, tum nahi samjhoge” among others.

Shah Rukh, Kajol and Rani played the characters of Rahul, Anjali and Tina, respectively in the film. Besides story, film's song like “Ladki badi anjaani hai”, “Tujhe yaad na meri aaye”, “Sajanji ghar aaye” and “Yeh ladka hai deewana” among others were also the blockbuster hits. The music of the film was composed by Jatin-Lalit.

Made with a budget of about Rs 100 million, Karan Johar's directorial debut performed exceptionally well at the box-office. The film earned around Rs 1.07 billion.

Besides, SRK, Kajol and Rani, superstar Salman Khan too had a brief appearance in the film. He played the character of Aman Mehra.

The film also features Sana Saeed, Farida Jalal, Anupam Kher, Archana Puran Singh, Neelam Kothari and Jhonny Lever in important roles.

Interestingly, “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai” won 8 Filmfare awards and is the only film in the history of Bollywood to win all four of the Best Acting category awards in the ceremony.
