Widow Colony: Gippy Grewal Announces A Film Based On 1984 Tragic Loss

Gippy Grewal, who is currently busy shooting for his film ‘Phatte Dinde Chakk Punjabi’ in UK with Neeru Bajwa, has announced his next film ‘Widow Colony’.

The film ‘Widow Colony’ will be based on the tragic loss of lives and dreams in 1984 riots of Punjab. Gippy also revealed that the shooting of the film will start in 2021. 

Gippy shared the poster on his Instagram handle. He captioned the poster as: "“1984” ਜਿਸਨੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਸੁਹਾਗ ਤੇ ਖ਼ੁਆਬ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਖੋਹ ਲਏ।

#WidowColony shooting begins 2021."

Coming to the credits of the film, ‘Widow Colony’ is written and directed by ace director Smeep Kang, while it is produced by Gippy Grewal as the film is presented under the banner of Humble Motion Pictures.

Going by the poster of the film, one can see Punjabi widows in it as Punjab faced destruction during the time of 1984.

Meanwhile, on the other hand, Gippy has just finished shooting of the film ‘Paani Ch Madhaani’, which stars Neeru Bajwa along him. Apart from this, he has ‘Maa’ and ‘Manje Bistre 3’ in the pipeline, releasing next year.
