#WorldWaterDay: Let Us Pledge To Save Water, Celebs Request Their Fans

The world is celebrating 26th World Water Day today. World Water Day is celebrated every year on March 22. The idea behind observing this day is focusing on the importance of water and need to conserve it. World Water Day was first observed in 1993 by United Nations General Assembly.

Our Punjab, known in history as land of five rivers, has also been facing a major water crisis because of “fast depleting and polluted underground water and polluted rivers. Preserving water is the only solution.

Many celebs like Sachin Tendulkar, Juhi Chawla, Sudarsan Pattnaik among others took to Twitter to ask their fans to join hands in saving water. Besides, many social media users also posted message on this day to make #WorldWaterDay a trend on Twitter.
