Bachchhan Paandey Box Office Collection: Akshay Kumar-starrer 2nd-biggest opener in pandemic times

Bachchhan Paandey Box Office Collection: Bachchhan Paandey, the latest entertainer starring Akshay Kumar, was released on March 18 with fans giving tremendous applause to the film and the cast. Ahead of the release, the movie generated a lot of hype among fans because it features Akshay Kumar in a new, monstrous avatar and includes massive action sequences.

The cast of Bachchhan Paandey includes Akshay Kumar, Kriti Sanon, Arshad Warsi, and Jacqueline Fernandez. The film is touted to be the second biggest opener in the pandemic times. On its first day at the Box Office, Farhad Samji's Akshay Kumar-starrer, 'Bachchhan Paandey' has made Rs 13.25 crore.

According to Taran Adarsh, a film trade analyst, films released during the pandemic period, such as Sooryavanshi, grossed Rs 26.29 crore and '83' the film earned Rs 12.64 crore while Gangubai Kathiawadi got Rs 10.50 crore.

Bachchhan Paandey is a remake of Jigarthanda, a Tamil film. It revolves around a director who intends to make a film about the life of a notorious mobster, only to discover that the Godfather had a dark history.

Whereas, Kriti Sanon is seen playing an aspiring director who desires to make a film on Bachchhan Paandey’s life. Whenever it comes to action, Akshay Kumar is on the top not only amusing fans but also at the box office.

Akshay Kumar was last seen in 'Atrangi Re', the psycho-romantic drama which also featured Sara Ali Khan and Dhanush.
