Birthday special: Jaswinder Bhalla a comedian who needs no introduction! Here are some lesser known facts!
Jaswinder Bhalla is one of the most profound comic stars of the Punjabi industry. Born in Ludhiana, Jaswinder Bhalla has done Ph.D in Science from Punjab Agricultural University where he has also served as a Professor and Head, Department of Extension Education till May 2020.

Today, Jaswinder Bhalla is a year older but who better than him can explain that age is just a number. Celebrating the spirit of this comic star, here are some of the lesser known facts about him.
Recognition of the talent
Jaswinder Bhalla for the first time during his college days performed in Professor Manmohan Singh’s Mela in 1979 after which he garnered much love and started getting recognition for his comedy.

Chhankata Series
Though the recognition was not so vast, then the star started releasing a comedy series titled ‘Chhankata’ in 1988 under the company Musical Voice of India. Total 2000 copies were released in Professor Manmohan Singh’s Mela (Cultural festival). After the release of his first cassette he started getting recognition overseas in Canada, Australia and England. About 27 audio and video albums have been released of his Chhhankata series.
In an interview, Jaswinder Bhalla also revealed that the scripting for one episode of ‘Chhankata’ it used to take 5-6 months for its scripting.
