12th Fail

Acing director Vidhu Vinod Chopra has taken over the year. Infact his October released movie '12th Fail' is being considered as the best movie of the year. Critics even calling it better than Christopher Nolan's biopic thriller drama 'Oppenheimer' and ofcourse there are reasons. '12th Fail' is a Hindi biographical drama written, produced and directed by none other than Vidhu Vinod Chopra. Starring Vikrant Massey, the intense drama is based on the life of a real life man Manoj Kumar Sharma, whose life was baffled with extreme hardship, who later overcoming innate poverty became a successful IPS officer. Now this is very special, as there are thousand and lakhs of dreamers, better we call aspirants all around the country who shed there blood, sweat and tears for witnessing a big win in an exam like UPSC, which is considered as one of the toughest exam in the world and become a government officer. The portrayal of Manoj Kumar's journey by Massey was the cherry on a cake. With an powerful acting, relatable storyline and a battle to win is the best part of the Indian drama released in 27 October, 2023.

Three Of Us

The more we talk about it, the less it is! Starring Shefali Shah, Jaideep Ahlawat and Swanand Kirkire, 'Three of Us' is not for the ones who love reel extremism but for the ones who love witnessing good storytelling, mindblowing I mean! From boggling prowess of acting to background music scrore and editing, the 99 minutes movie has everything. It is dark, intense and dramatic and even can make you cry with Shefali Shah's screen presence, her eyes, her posture and even her mute moments. Released in 3rd November 2023, 'Three of Us' is directed by Avinash Arun, that takes you through the journey of a mid age woman suffering with dementia(A disease that earses your memories with time), who decides to go back to the place that holds the most important place in her life before she forgets everything. A married woman takes us back in time where her high school lovers lives, married and has children. The movie portrays an unbreakable bond of love that you can least expect with such a storyline of dementia, but that's what makes it special, the unconditional love!

Kho Gaye Hum Kahan

Released on Tuesday, 26 December, 2023, 'Kho Gaye Hum Kahan' is a perfect ending to the year for the Indian OTT I suppose. A socially relevant Netflix movie that will make you think twice before running your today's social media errands. The candy floss Instagrammable life has been blended with perfectly refined characters that doesn't not only feel relatable to the live's behind our sunkissed smile and oozing vacay at the white sand beaches but also takes us through the sheer complexities one goes through while sharing something hollow on social media, hollow that yet looks fabulous. The contrasting reality is stiked in the cameras with perfection. Earlier, when I said relatable, the characters are indeed something that felt like our own voices that are perfectly amulgamated in different personalities by Arjun Varain Singh, whether it was Ahana Singh(Ananya Pandey), Imaad Ali (Siddhant Chaturvedi) or Neil Pereira (Adarsh Gourav).
