Aamir Khan Confirms marriage with Gauri Spratt on July 5; intimate ceremony at home

Actor Aamir Khan has officially confirmed that he will marry his longtime partner, Gauri Spratt, on July 5. He shared the news during a press conference on Thursday, July 2, ending months of speculation about their relationship. The wedding will take place at his residence in Bandra, Mumbai, in the presence of close family members and a few special friends.

Speaking about the celebration, Aamir said, "Shaadi hai 5 July ko. Ghar pe hi kar rahe hai. Bahut hi choti shadi hai. Bahut hi khaas din hai 5 tarikh hamare liye. Dono families hai aur kuch khaas dost hai." (The wedding is on July 5. We are having it at home. It will be a very small wedding. July 5 is a very special day for us. Both our families and a few close friends will be there.)

The couple will first complete a registered marriage under the Special Marriage Act before hosting a simple celebration at home. Aamir's elder son, Junaid Khan, was present alongside him during the announcement.

Special Family Celebration

The wedding will be held in the first half of the day and will include only the couple's close relatives and friends. One of the most emotional moments of the ceremony is expected to be the involvement of all four children from Aamir and Gauri's previous marriages.

These include Aamir's son Junaid Khan and daughter Ira Khan from his first marriage to Reena Dutta, his son Azad from his second marriage to filmmaker Kiran Rao, and Gauri's son from her previous marriage.

Aamir and Gauri's Relationship

Aamir Khan and Gauri Spratt first met in Bengaluru through Aamir's cousin, Nuzhat Khan. They dated for about a year before Aamir introduced Gauri to the media as his partner ahead of his 60th birthday in March. The couple has also been living together at his Bandra residence.

Who Is Gauri Spratt?

Gauri Spratt is originally from Bengaluru. She is the daughter of Rita Spratt, who owned a salon in the city. She studied at Blue Mountain School and later completed a fashion course in Styling and Photography at the University of the Arts London in 2004.

She currently manages a BBlunt salon in Mumbai. According to reports, she is also the mother of a seven-year-old son.

Aamir Khan's Previous Marriages

Aamir Khan first married Reena Dutta in 1986. They have two children, Junaid and Ira. The couple divorced in 2002 after 16 years of marriage.

In 2005, Aamir married filmmaker Kiran Rao, whom he met during the making of Lagaan. They separated in 2021 but continue to co-parent their son, Azad, who was born through surrogacy.
