Taha Shah Badussha is a whole new wave in the Indian film industry now, as he has been truly able to shine as Tajdar Baloch in the Sanjay Leela Bhansali drama series, Heeramandi: The Diamond Series. The sensational actor made his starry appearance against Sarmin Segal's character Alamjeb. Making everybody's heads turned through the SLB series, Taha Shah has recently made it to the prestigious Cannes Film Festival 2024 as a festival's debutant. For the unversed, the actor attended the 77th Cannes Film Festival for the trailer and poster launch of his film 'Paro' at the Bharat Pavilion. Meanwhile, he had to face many social media trolls and troubles for marking his attendance at the global film festival. 

Taha Shah Badussha reveals about making contacts

Recently, during an interview with a renowned media forum, the 36-year-old actor could be seen answering to all the social media backlash and even revealed about making various contacts at the iconic festival. While admitting about the fact of 'making contacts', Taha said, "I went to Cannes to launch my film and to make contacts. So many people from America and Canada looked at me and said, ‘This guy is the star of Heeramandi, but he’s acting like a newcomer’. I literally went around giving my card to people asking them to be in touch with me and watch Heeramandi." 

The self-made star has further asserted that while it may not be necessary, but he rather to stay optimistic about meeting that one person, who can change his life forever. Taha Shah revealed that during his overall stay at Cannes, he met around 500-600 people and got their numbers, and as per him he wants one person to have faith in him. Adding to this, he said, "I’ll keep hustling. I’ll keep building relationships and putting in my hundred percent."

During the interview, the actor was asked about the social media trolls that he had been receiving for attending the Cannes Film Festival 2024. In response, he said that he barely had any idea about the negativity that he had been receiving lately, and neither did he have such bare time to go through such comments but he accepted various groups where numerous screenshots come around and he used to go through them sometimes. Hitting back on the trolls, he said, "Nobody said these things about me earlier. I did some jugaad (hack) and went to IFFI last year, but nobody spoke about it. What about that? What about the time when I had nothing."

Led by all women, the Netflix television series is set in pre-independent India and revolves around the life of the courtesans when they were treated as equals as queens. Starring Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Sanjeeda Sheikh, and Sharmin Sehgal, it is an intense historical drama that takes the audiences around the themes of 'love, power, and freedom'.
