Kamal Haasan turns 'Tabla' player: One of the most eagerly anticipated upcoming films in Indian cinema is without a doubt Shankar's "Indian 2," starring Kamal Haasan. The crew recently finished an eight-day shooting schedule in Tai Pei, Taiwan, and has since moved to South Africa for a month-long stay to film intense action scenes.
In a recent Instagram image, the Vikram actor is pictured playing a percussion instrument and grooving to it, suggesting that he is relaxing ahead of the film's upcoming release date.
The actor may be seen showing off his skills with an unique instrument that resembles a hand pan in sound. Kamal plays it like the mirudangam, a percussion instrument used in Carnatic music, one of his specialties, so it doesn't appear foreign to him. Fans, including his younger daughter Akshara Haasan, has praised the actor for his spontaneous performance in response to the post, which has gone viral online.
As Vikram, Kamal's in-house production, found success, Indian 2, which has been in the works for years, is now finally taking shape. Kamal Haasan, Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Kalidas Jayaram, Bobby Simha, Siddharth, Guru Somasundaram, and Samuthirakani are a few of the movie's other notable actors.
The movie will reportedly be released on Pongal 2024.
