Did you Know Katrina Kaif was Ali Abbas Zafar's first choice for Bade Miyan Chote Miyan? Director reveals himself
Over the last two year, Ali Abbas Zafar had been tying his seatbelts for his big venture 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan' starring Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff in the leading roles. Under Abbas's directorial, the movie is produced by Pooja Entertainment with AAZ Films, which will also feature Prithviraj Sukumaran. Meanwhile, on the female counterpart, the film will be led by Manushi Chillar, Alaya F and Sonakshi Sinha, but recently the director has revealed that it was Katrina Kaif who was his first preference. Well, it is a well known fact in the industry that Katrina Kaif and Ali Abbas Zafar makes a great pair while presenting movies and both of them has in-fact given some mind boggling projects earlier that includes Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, Tiger Zinda Hai and Bharat. After the release of the BMCM trailer, Katrina Kaif has reacted on the same which surely steals the attention of the masses. While she praised the moving trailer of the action-thriller, she basked on one complaint against the director, as revealed by the filmmaker himself.
During a recent interview with a renown media forum, Ali Abbas Zafar has expressed his fondness with the Merry Christmas actress. According to him, Katrina is always his number one preference before casting anyone in a film and if doesn't cast her, Kat calls him by herself and asks the reason for not getting her into the film and recently she did the same during the time of BMCM too. Thus, Katrina helmed a complaint against Zafar after watching the movie's trailer.
Moving on further, Abbas quipped on her powerful pontential and revealed that her full potential have not not been harnessed yet, while sharing his remarkable past working with the reviting actress. "I feel there’s a lot of potential in her as an actor. Be it Bharat, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, or Tiger Zinda Hai, she has done some really good work with me. Every time I make a film, the first call I get is from Katrina where she complains about me not casting her. She often asks, ‘Why am I not being offered this film?'" his words followed. Further, he revealed that even though after his first prefernce, Katrina could not land on the making schedules because of her prior work commitments. But he hopes to collaborate with her in his next film.
As stated earlier, it is a Ali Abbas Zafar movie with a multi starrer star casts which includes Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff in the leading roles alongside other actors like Prithviraj Sukumaran, Manushi Chhillar, Alaya F and Sonakshi Sinha. Meanwhile, the mega action thriller has been backed by Zafar himself along with Jackky Bhagnani, Vashu Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh, and Himanshu Kishan Mehra under the banners of Pooja Entertainment and AAZ Films. Made with a budget of Rs. 350 crore, the movie has been so far slatted to get release on Eid, 10 April, 2024.
