Fans of superstar Suriya dies while installing his birthday banner; Actor promises assistance to families

South's iconic star Suriya has celebrated 48th birthday recently. Following his huge fan base throughout the country, the star lacks no fame. Eventually his massive fan following led to immaculate warm wishes flocking from around the country. Some places even took it a step higher and conducted mass celebration on their favorite star's birthday. But a tragic incident had shown the surface from Andhra Pradesh, where two engineering students caught to deathbed while installing Suriya's birthday banner.

The tragic death

According to the reports, the two second year engineering student, Nakka Venkatesh and Poluri Sai from a private college of the state were tragically electricuted while putting up a banner of Suriya in the Mopulavaripalem village of Palnadu district. As per ANI, the two students were trying to celebrate Suriya's birthday but unfortunately, the rod of the banner came in contact with the electric wire which led them to die in no time. Truly nerve-wrecking!

To which, the actor was made aware soon, shared grief on the deceased and expressed his condolences towards their family. Suriya even talked with the families via video call and assured them to help them in the coming time. The video of which also made it's way to social media. 

The sorrow of the families

While talking about the sorrowful families, they have held the college authorities responsible for the uncanny incident. During an interview, Poluri Sai's sister, Ananya quoted, "College is responsible for my brother’s death. We are paying fees to the college. Before joining the college they assured us that students would be secured and monitored, but, the college is not protecting and monitoring the students in the hostel. We are daily labours. We struggle a lot to pay college fees, striving for a good life for my brother. It’s an awful incident that happened.”
