Recounting an unsettling experience from her adolescence, she revealed, "At the age of 12-13, I accompanied my parents, Sridevi and Boney Kapoor, to an event where the paparazzi captured my images, objectifying me." This incident occurred during the nascent stages of Instagram and the proliferation of social media platforms, amplifying the impact of such invasions of privacy. Janhvi continued, "Later, I stumbled upon these pictures on a website. Schoolmates would mock me after seeing them, creating a challenging situation that I've endured for quite some time."

Reflecting on the complexities of navigating fame and scrutiny, Janhvi Kapoor acknowledged the burden of guilt associated with her lineage in the film industry. "I carry a significant amount of guilt stemming from my background in the film industry, and it's something I need to overcome," she confessed. Despite recognizing the privilege that comes with her platform, she expressed the challenges of confronting stereotypes and societal judgments, particularly concerning female autonomy and self-expression. "When a girl chooses attire that reflects her comfort with her sexuality, she often becomes the target of character assassination," Janhvi lamented, highlighting the pervasive double standards prevalent in the industry.
