Janhvi Kapoor recalls feeling Paranoid of not being around her parents; Talks about sneaking into Sridevi-Boney Kapoor’s room

With movies like Dhadak, Mili, Gunjan Saxena, and Ghost Stories, in relatively no time, Janhvi Kapoor has given some of the most starry contributions to the Bollywood industry. As the young actress is currently gearing up for the release of her upcoming sports drama film - Mr. & Mrs. Mahi, she is riding high as she is moving places for its various promotional events and interviews. Apart from having a ravishing career in films, she also shares a close bond with her father Boney Kapoor, and was extremely affectionate to her late mother, Sridevi. Recently during an interview, the riveting starlet talked about her traumas and the feeling of paranoia about losing her parents during her younghood.

Janhvi Kapoor talks about her paranoia

Just ahead of the release of her upcoming film, Janhvi Kapoor sat on a well-known podcast where she talked about her fears and the constant paranoia of losing her parents. Confessing about the same, she said, "I was always paranoid about losing my parents, even at that age. Every time they’d go out at night for an event, or travel for a day without me." Calling the fear 'weird' she proceeded further elevating the revelation. "Even small things, like they’re shopping at duty-free and I’ve boarded the plane with my nanny, I’d always be like, ‘They’re not going to board the flight, they’re not going to come back home’. I’d wake up at night and sometimes go into their room to check if they were breathing. There was a weird paranoia," she quipped.

Mr. & Mrs. Mahi's fame then further asserted her much-matured personality now as she accepted being aged with a stronger maternal instinct as she further emphasized adhering to the Indian tradition of caring for aging parents. "After a certain age, they become our kids. I know that I will give my father a lot more allowances to maybe not be there emotionally for me in a way that I assumed a father should be there, just because I know now it’s my time to be there for him," Janhvi continued.
