Watch video: Satish Kaushik's daughter Vanshika returns on Instagram; creates first reel with Anupam Kher
With his late friend Satish Kaushik's 10-year-old daughter Vanshika, actor Anupam Kher recently recorded an Instagram reel. Following a heart arrest, Kaushik passed suddenly in March. His wife Shashi and daughter Vanshika are left to carry on without him.
Kher and Vanshika both posted a reel of their performance on Instagram, which has them singing "Hundred Miles" by Yall and Gabriela Richardson. Kher makes a good effort to match Vanshika's energy while she is performing at her best. The little child, though, believes that her late father was a better dancer.
"My first reel with one and only #Anupam uncle , he really needs to rehearse a little more, as compared to him papa was a better dancer, but thank u Anupam uncle for trying,love u" wrote Vanshika as the caption for the video.
Satish Kaushik and Anupam Kher have been close friends for more than 40 years. On the occasion of Satish Kaushik's birth anniversary, Anupam organised a special ceremony in his honour and made a vow to his daughter Vanshika that he would look out for her and adore her just like her father. Also, he read the poem Vanshika had written for her father following his passing.
Vanshika's favourite moment with her father was a question Anupam had posed to her. Vanshika had responded by saying, "When I wasn't feeling well, he would ask me, "Vanshika, would you want to go out to lunch at JW Mariott?" He would then drive me there. His strange dance moves would make me giggle. Also, he would do my maths homework secretly when my mother would scold me."
