Diljit Dosanjh's fans will be more than ecstatic to know that the actor is currently shooting for one of his 'most important roles'.

Everyone was wondering when Diljit Dosanjh shared pictures of his new look with a heavy beard. Though, there were rumors that the actor will be seen in an upcoming film in which he will be seen playing Jaswant Singh Khalra an Indian Human Rights activist who was kidnapped and murdered in September 1995.

Numerous pictures and videos have gone viral on the internet shared by Diljit Dosanjh's fan pages. Now according to the latest news, Bollywood actor Arjun Rampal will also be seen in the upcoming movie with Diljit Dosanjh.

The film is being directed by Honey Trehan who is known for the film Raat Akeli Hai, starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Radhika Apte. Following the success of his debut film, the director is currently working on his second movie, which stars Diljit Dosanjh and Arjun Rampal. However, no confirmation about the same has been made by the makers or the actors.

If reports are to be believed then, Trehan is directing a human drama set during the 1984 anti-Sikh riots, with Diljit Dosanjh portraying an activist and Arjun Rampal portraying a parallel character. The film's plot is believed to revolve around an activist who battles for the victims of the riots and uncovers a shocking truth.

The film has already begun production and is being shot on location in Amritsar. Ronnie Screwvala's RSVP Movies, Trehan, and Abhishek Chaubey's MacGuffin Picture are collaborating on the film.
