'Chamikila' movie: Diljit Dosanjh, Parineeti Chopra to share screen space in Imitiaz Ali's film

Diljit Dosanjh about 'Chamkila' biopic: Dosanjhawala aka Diljit Dosanjh has managed to garner massive recognition worldwide with his singing as well as acting skills. Currently, he is basking in the success of his ongoing musical tour 'Born To Shine' which will be soon concluding in Mumbai. Apart from this, Diljit Dosanjh will soon start the shoot of his upcoming Bollywood movie with ace director Imtiaz Ali. The two are working on the biopic of legendary Punjabi singer Amar Singh Chamkila.

Ever since the announcement of the same has been made, fans are excited to see the film. In the meantime, Diljit Dosanjh has now confirmed the leading lady of the movie who is none other than Parineeti Chopra.

Yes, you read that correctly! Numerous reports were circulating that Parineeti Chopra would be seen in the upcoming 'Chamkila' biopic and now Diljit Dosanjh has confirmed the same in a recent interview.

In his discussion of the new film, Diljit Dosanjh stated that production will shortly begin. The actor further disclosed that Imitiaz Ali is highly passionate about the movie and that he sends Diljit Dosanjh a mail about Chamkila every day so that he is familiar with the role he is about to play.

Diljit Dosanjh also revealed that Parineeti Chopra is a great actor and she will be seen opposite Diljit Dosanjh in the upcoming biopic.

Other than this, Diljit Dosanjh also discussed his previous work in 'Jogi' and revealed how much important the film was for the actor to do.

Meanwhile, Diljit Dosanjh would conclude his musical tour 'Born To Shine' in Mumbai on December 9.
