Goodbye movie: Ekta Kapoor breaks down at Amitabh Bachchan, Rashmika Mandanna's film trailer launch

Goodbye movie: Amitabh Bachchan and Rashmika Mandanna are coming to the silver screens together with their upcoming movie 'Goodbye'. Produced by Ekta Kapoor, the film's trailer was launched on September 6.

The entire cast and crew were present at the event, but what drew everyone's attention was that Ekta Kapoor got emotional during the trailer launch.

Apart from Rashmika Mandanna and Amitabh Bachchan, the film also features  Neena Gupta, Pavail Gulati, Elli Avram, Sunil Grover, Sahil Mehta, and Abhishek Khan in pivotal roles.

During the trailer launch, Ekta got emotional while talking about the film's concept. Ekta started to cry as she talked about her parents, actor Jeetendra and producer Shobha Kapoor. She recalled that in her life she has spoken rudely to her parents several times, knowingly or unknowingly. She further added that there's a time when you realize that your parents are getting older, which is scary.

"I think hum sabne apne parents ke saath bohot argue kiya hai and humne apne parents ko bohot saari cheeze boli bhi hai. Gussa kiya hai."

"However, there's always a time when you get scared. Parents are getting old. I actually went up and said to them. I think its the age, you start worrying for your parents. I don't know why, I am hating it," said Ekta Kapoor.

She further stated, "Sabse kathin janamdin us din hota hai jis din aapko jo janam dete hai, woh nahi hote. yeh din bohot logon ke life mein aata hain. wo darr, wo fear, wo din...I don't know how people live with it. So, the film is very close to my heart and it is a film about family and we are nothing without our families."

Meanwhile, 'Goodbye' is a film that offers the viewers a platter of emotions filled with laughter and joy. The movie marks Rashmika Mandanna's debut in Bollywood and is helmed by Vikas Bahl. It is slated to release in theaters on October 7.
