Independence Day 2022: As India celebrates the 75th Independence Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi wore a tricolour-themed turban as he hoisted the Indian National Flag at the Red Fort in New Delhi. Besides, he delivered his customary speech from the ramparts of the iconic Red Fort in an order to celebrate 'Azadi ka Amrit Mahatosav'.
Independence Day 2022 marks PM Narendra Modi's ninth consecutive I-Day speech to the nation. For this, Prime Minister donned a white safa with the tricolour's motifs and a long trail.
Wearing a traditional white kurta, churidar and a powder blue shade jacket, PM Modi's tricolour-themed turban got all the attention. It also kept up with the theme of 'Azadi ka Amrit Mahatosav' celebrations.

Earlier in the day, PM Narendra Modi unfurled the Indian National Flag amid a 21-gun salute by the indigenously developed howitzer gun, ATAGS. It was followed by a shower of flower petals from the choppers.
