Paa - 'Paa' is a late 2000's Hindi Drama. directed under R. Balmiki, the movie stars Amitabh Bachchan, Vidya Balan and Abhishek Bachchan on the leading roles. The critically acclaimed movie highlights a warm relationship of a mother with her especially able son 'Auro'.  'Paa' depicts the unmatched affection of a mother to her son no matter what.

English Vinglish - 'English Vinglish' features Sri Devi as an Indian mother who dreams big and lives big. It is a Hindi drama creation that makes us believe that mothers are capable of achieving more than households. Directed by Gauri Shinde, it is a 2012 movie that also stars Adil Hussain, Mehdi Nebbou, and Priya Anand in some crucial roles.

Darlings - Darlings is a Netflix India creation that was released in 2022. Led by Alia Bhatt, the movie features domestic violence and toxic masculinity a bride has to face after marriage. Alia's vulnerable character is supported by Shefali Shah as her mother who goes to extreme lengths to save her daughter from the abusive husband. 

Badhaai Ho - 'Badhai Ho' is a 2018 ensemble featuring a 'not very common' storyline. Neena Gupta, the lead mother character of the movie gets surprisingly pregnant and does everything to welcome the new baby to the world. Directed by Amit Sharma, the movie showcases the normalizing uncertainty of motherhood. There should be no embarrassment of becoming a mother at any age, period.
