Badshah makes history as India's highest-ranked hip-hop artist on YouTube

Indian rapper Badshah has added another major achievement to his career by becoming the only Indian artist to enter the top five of the world's most-viewed hip-hop acts on YouTube. His massive online popularity has earned him the fifth spot in the latest global rankings released by Chartmasters, with more than 26.1 billion views on the platform. The milestone reflects not only his personal success but also the growing influence of Indian hip-hop on the international music scene.

The global list features some of the biggest names in rap, including Drake, Eminem, Nicki Minaj, and Lil Wayne. Badshah's presence among these internationally recognised artists is a significant moment for Indian music. Although the late Sidhu Moosewala and Karan Aujla are also included in Chartmasters' ranking of the top 1,000 hip-hop artists, neither has reached the top five.

Badshah has spent nearly two decades building his music career. Since making his mark in the industry, he has released more than 150 songs, many of which have become popular hits. Across different streaming and digital platforms, his music has generated over 25 billion streams, making him one of India's most successful artists in the digital era.

The rapper has also maintained a strong position on Spotify, where he enjoys around 19.9 million monthly listeners. This places him ahead of several leading names in Indian hip-hop, including Yo Yo Honey Singh, AP Dhillon, Karan Aujla, Shubh, and Hanumankind. His consistent fan following shows that his music continues to connect with audiences across different age groups and regions.

Apart from dominating the rap genre, Badshah has also become one of India's biggest digital music stars. His impressive YouTube numbers place him alongside celebrated singers such as Arijit Singh, Shreya Ghoshal, Neha Kakkar, and the legendary Lata Mangeshkar. As Indian music continues to reach listeners around the world, Badshah's latest achievement stands as a proud moment for the country's hip-hop industry and highlights its growing global recognition.
