When we think about the early 2000s of Bollywood, Shahid Kapoor's name comes first as the most adorable actor of that time. The actor turned a year older but as it is said, age is only a number. On his 42nd, birthday many of his friend's industry wished the actor good fortune and life.

Shahid has undoubtedly given some of the most iconic Hindi rom-com to Indian cinema. So, here is a peep into his journey in the film industry so far.

Shahid Kapoor's early life

He was born on February 25, 1981, into a family with filmy background, father Pankaj Kapur and mother Neelima Azeem. Shahid entered the world of films as a background dancer in the 90s and did his debut through a romantic comedy 'Ishq Vishq' in 2003. The actor won Filmfare Award for 'Best Actor Debut' for the same. 

Shahid Kapoor's journey in the film industry

The stardom came early in Shahid's life and eventually, he started his impeccable journey in films. His roles in movies like 'Vivah' (2006) and Imtiaz Ali's 'Jab We Met' (2007) are still reminisced by his fans. 

After a few years of unsuccessful movies, the actor gave some amazing masterpieces yet again. 'R Rajkumar'- action drama (2013) was a comeback movie for the star. The classic character of Hamlet in 2014's 'Haider' and 'Udta Punjab' 2016 gave two Filmfare awards to the actor. Although his most applauded and box-office bang on's was undoubtedly Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Padmavaat'(2018) and 2019's most talked about romantic drama 'Kabir Singh', played against Kiara Advani.

Shahid Kapoor's personal life

In the year of 2015, Shahid Kapoor got married to Mira Rajput. The actor became the talk of the town as he married out of the industry. The couple became in 2016 with the birth of their daughter Misha. Later they welcomed a baby boy in 2018. 

The couple is often seen sharing their mushy pictures on their social media platforms. With an ever-growing personality, Shahid turned 42 today and his fans can't wait to see their favorite actor achieve much bigger films and projects in the future.
