Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann is all praise for Aamir Khan's ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’, says 'it speaks of mutual brotherhood'

While Aamir Khan's much-awaited film 'Laal Singh Chaddha' is facing a downfall at the box office, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Sunday watched the film and lauded the actor and the team for the same.

Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann watch 'Laal Singh Chaddha' and said that it gives a message of mutual brotherhood and that it does not let seeds of hatred grow in the young hearts.

Besides, CM Mann congratulated Aamir Khan and his team on the movie as it marks Aamir's comeback to the big screens after 4 years.

Notably, ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ is an official Hindi adaptation of Tom Hanks-starrer iconic Hollywood film 'Forrest Gump'. The 1994-film had also managed to bag Oscar awards.

“Today, I got to watch 'Laal Singh Chaddha'… the movie gives a message of mutual brotherhood and does not let the seeds of hatred grow in young hearts... congratulations to Aamir and his team," Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann said in a tweet (in Punjabi).

Written by Atul Kulkarni and helmed by Advait Chandan, 'Laal Singh Chaddha' features Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Naga Chaitanya, and Mona Singh in key roles.

The Hindi remake of 'Forrest Gump' revolves around the life of a slow-witted but kind-hearted man named Laal (Khan). He narrates the important events of his life throughout the film. The events coincide with several historic events in India.
