Popular for his roles in movies like ‘Dus Lakh’, ‘Namak Halaal’, ‘Zanjeer’ among others, Om Prakash was a master of his time. The actor is best known for his roles in comedy films. In today’s episode of PTC Punjabi’s Punjab Mail, the audience will learn some unknown facts about the actor. Born in Lahore, his career began in 1942. He was a popular supporting actor from 1950s to 1980s. Fascinated by theatre, music and films, Om Prakash started taking lessons in classical music at the age of 12.   Following the time of partition, he moved to Delhi and then Mumbai. Om Prakash struggled during the early days of his acting career, and got his first break as villain in the film ‘Lakhpati’. The actor did around 307 movies in his career before suffering from a massive heart attack in 1998 at the age of 78.
