Raksha Bandhan, Rakhi, 2022 Date, Shubh Muhurat: The auspicious festival of Raksha Bandhan is almost and people are set to celebrate the bond of affection and love between brother and sister. Raksha Bandhan aka Rakhi is the most famous festival in the Hindu community.

The festival is celebrated across India with great enthusiasm. Notably, Raksha Bandhan is celebrated on Purnima Tithi of Shukla Paksha in the month of Shravan. However, Raksha Bandhan 2022 will be celebrated on both August 11 and 12.

Raksha Bandhan 2022  Date and Rakhi Shubh Muhurat:

Purnima Tithi is beginning at 10:38 am on Thursday, August 11, 2022, and will end on Friday, August 12, 2022, at 07:05 am.

The Bhadra time for Raksha Bandhan will begin on Thursday, August 11, 2022, at 10:38 am while it will end on Thursday, August 11, 2022, at 08:51 pm.

Thus, Raksha Bandhan can be celebrated between 8:51 pm on Thursday, August 11, and 09:12 pm on Friday, August 12.

As per the astrologers, the Rakhi can be celebrated on August 12 for the whole date. If you want to celebrate the festival on August 11, then don't do it in Bhadra time.

Why Raksha Bandhan should not be celebrated during Bhadra Time?

One must not celebrate the festival during the Bhadra time as it is considered to be inauspicious to tie Rakhi during this time. As per the scriptures, Bhadra is the daughter of Lord Surya and Chhaya. She was the sister of Shani Dev. There are stories that when Bhadra was about to swallow the whole universe when she was born.
