Ranbir-Alia continues 'the Kapoor tradition' by raising a toast on their wedding day

Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are making headlines with their minimalist looks they opted for their D-Day. The couple looked stunning in golden and ivory attires and won everyone attention on the internet. However, netizens drew similarities of Ranbir-Alia wedding to that with Rishi-Neetu marriage as they cut a cake and raise a toast at their marriage.

Viral photos of Rishi and Neetu Kapoo, in which they can be seen partying with champagne have gone viral as soon as Ranbir-Alia’s champagne picture was shared.

The Kapoors have a tradition of toasting marriages with a glass of champagne or wine. While Alia and Ranbir raised a toast for their love, Neetu and Rishi Kapoor did the same 42 years ago on their wedding day on January 22, 1980.

On April 14, Alia and Ranbir exchanged vows in a small ceremony. Vastu, Ranbir Kapoor's residence, hosted the ceremony. Mrs Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, blessed us all by sharing photos of herself and her husband Ranbir Kapoor. Alia wrote a heartfelt note.

While it was previously announced that Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor's wedding reception will take place on April 16 and 17, it now appears like the event may not take place. During a press conference, mom Neetu Kapoor said there would be no reception.
