Singer Rahul Jain booked for allegedly 'raping' a costume stylist, says claims are 'baseless'
Rahul Jain news: A shocking piece of news coming from the music industry, the singer-composer Rahul Jain has been booked after a 30-year-old costume stylist filed a complaint against him.
An FIR has been filed against Singer Rahul Jain who is accused of allegedly raping a costume stylist. However, the singer has refused the claims made by the costume stylist calling all the allegations as 'baseless'.

As per the complainant's FIR, singer Rahul Jain raped her at his residence in Mumbai's Andheri. Allegedly, the incident took place on August 11. In the meanwhile, the police has registered an FIR against the singer.
The woman, in her statement recorded at the Oshiwara police station, stated that Rahul approached her on Instagram and praised her work, and even asked her to visit his flat in suburban Andheri. She said that Rahul had assured her that she will be appointed as his personal costume stylist.

The complainant further claimed that after she visited Rahul's residence on August 11, the singer asked her to accompany her to his bedroom saying that he will show her his belongings, and raped her.
The woman also claimed that Rahul assaulted her after she resisted him. Later, she also claimed that the singer tried to destroy evidence as well.

Notably, the police has registered an FIR against the singer under sections 376 (rape), 323 (voluntary causing hurt), and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
Responding to the news of allegations, Rahul Jain stated that he doesn't know this woman and that the allegations raised by her are fake and baseless. He further said that earlier another woman had made similar allegations against him but he got justice and that this woman might be an associate of that woman.
