Sonam Kapoor, Anand Ahuja announce their son's name with an adorable picture

Sonam Kapoor announces baby boy name: Sonam Kapoor Ahuja and Anand Ahuja are currently beaming the light as new parents. The two welcomed their first baby boy on August 20 and on the occasion of their son's first-month birthday, the couple announced their baby boy's name.

Sonam Kapoor, who is believed to be connected to the Hindu culture, has revealed the true meaning and the depth of naming their baby boy 'Vayu Kapoor Ahuja'.

While sharing an adorable picture, Sonam Kapoor mentioned her son as the spirit of the force that gave their lives a new meaning. The couple sought blessings for their son, Vayu Kapoor Ahuja, from the spirit of Hanuman and Bheem, and of all that was sacred, life-giving, and eternally.

She further revealed the meaning of the name and stated that in Hindu scriptures, 'Vayu' is one of the 5 elements. Vayu is the deity of breath, the spiritual father of Hanuman, Bheem and Madhav, she said, adding that he was the incredibly powerful lord of wind.

"Praana is Vayu, a guiding force of life and intelligence in the universe. All the deities of Praana, Indra, Shiva, and Kali relate to Vayu. He can breathe life into beings as easily as he can destroy evil. Vayu is said to be heroic, brave, and mesmerizingly beautiful," she said.

"Thank you for your continued wishes and blessings for Vayu and his family," she added.

Meanwhile, Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja shared a joint statement on the arrival of their first baby child on August 20. Along with the announcement, they shared a special artistic work which Sonam later described as the significance of ‘Mother Earth’ and ‘Father Universe’.
