The storyline of Salaar is set in a fictional world, delving into the dynamic relationship between two best friends, Deva and Vardha, portrayed by Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran, respectively. Unforeseen events transform their camaraderie into a bitter enmity. The star-studded cast also includes Shruti Haasan, Eshwari Rao, Jagapathi Babu, and Sriya Reddy.
As the movie makes its mark at the box office, there's buzz about its digital release on the popular streaming platforms . Though the OTT release date is yet to be officially disclosed, reports indicate that Salaar will make its digital debut on Netflix. The streaming giant has secured the rights for all languages, and the film is expected to be available for streaming after an eight-week theatrical run.
If reports are to be believed then it is said that the OTT rights for Salaar were sold to Netflix for an astonishing Rs 162 crore, setting a new record for the highest-ever deal for a South Indian project. However, the confirmation is yet to made by the makers of 'Salaar' about the OTT platform and release date of the film.
Produced by Vijay Kiragandur under Hombale Films, Salaar marks the inaugural collaboration between director Prashanth Neel and the pan-India sensation Prabhas.
