In the realm of South Indian cinema, the film "Hanuman," directed by the talented Prashant Varma and featuring the dynamic Teja Sajja, has emerged as a monumental box office success. Released a decade ago, this cinematic masterpiece has not only crossed the impressive 130-crore mark but is poised to surpass the coveted 150-crore milestone in India shortly. With its global earnings already exceeding 200 crores, "Hanuman" has proven to be a standout success despite its modest budget, outshining many contemporaries in terms of daily revenue.

From its very opening day, "Hanuman" made a resounding impact, securing a staggering 8.05 crores and swiftly joining the elite 100 crore club within its inaugural week. The film has been embraced by audiences who have lauded its captivating storyline. Social media platforms continue to buzz with discussions and excitement, testifying to the film's popularity and widespread acclaim.

As of the 11th day post-release, "Hanuman" reportedly accumulated an additional 5.18 crores, bringing its overall collection to an impressive 137.25 crores. Notably, considering the film's initial budget was a modest 20 crores, its earnings have surpassed expectations by a significant margin, further solidifying its status as a monumental success.

 

Released in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi on January 12, "Hanuman" outshone other concurrent releases such as "Mary Christmas," "Guntur Talkies," "Captain Miller," and "Aylaan." Among these, "Hanuman" received the most favorable response, establishing its supremacy at the box office. The film boasts an ensemble cast including South Indian actors Teja Sajja, Amrita Ayyar, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Vinay Rai, and Venela Kishore.

 

Positioned as a Telugu superhero film, "Hanuman" has successfully resonated with audiences across linguistic and cultural boundaries. The captivating narrative, coupled with stellar performances, has transcended regional limitations, making it a pan-Indian success story.
