Rishi Kapoor's final screen appearance is presented in the trailer for Sharmaji Namkeen. The legendary actor died in 20202, midway through the shoot, leaving the makers to replace the eponymous character with Paresh Rawal.

The trailer for Sharmaji Namkeen, the final film of late actor Rishi Kapoor, has been released. Sharmaji, the titular character who discovers his passion for cooking after retirement, is played by Rishi Kapoor and Paresh Rawal. It will be the first film in Bollywood to feature two legendary actors portraying the same character, as Rishi Kapoor passed away before the film could be completed in 2020.

Sharma Ji, who has recently retired, is shown in the trailer looking for new interests to keep him occupied following his retirement. The actor receives advice from his children to learn new hobbies such as Zumba or driving, but he ends up with his own favorite passion of cooking and develops new relationships with a large number of women by chance at one of the cat parties for which he provided meals.

The three-minute trailer was both entertaining and moving. The late actor's final appearance in front of the camera will be a joy to watch. Fans flocked to Twitter as soon as the trailer was released to share their thoughts, and many of them admitted.

Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar's Excel Entertainment is producing Sharmaji Namkeen with Honey Trehan and Abhishek Chaubey of MacGuffin Pictures. Hitesh Bhatia directed the film, which is set to be released on March 31.
