Expressing bewilderment at revisiting this matter after two decades, Abhijeet Sawant dismissed Amit Sana's claims outright. According to Amit, just before the grand finale, his voting lines were abruptly closed, preventing his family from casting their votes. This incident allegedly occurred on March 5, 2005, during the grand finale featuring judges Farah Khan and Sonu Nigam.
